PETALING JAYA (2nd Nov) : Malaysia announced its first Covid-19 cases on Jan 25 involving three China tourists who had entered Malaysia via Johor from Singapore on Jan 23.
The number of cases then rose to 22 by Feb 16, representing a first wave of cases.
A second wave of cases began on Feb 27 and since then the number of people affected by the coronavirus has risen to more than 1,000.
Malaysia is now facing a third wave of infections which began on Sept 20 and the active cases has risen to 33,339. Where today’s active case is slightly lower than yesterday’s, amounting to 834 cases.
There are also 2 new deaths recorded today, as seen on Worldometer, the first time since 30th October which brings the total death toll since the pandemic to 251.
